Published 9 months ago • 1 min read

STEP 1 • SPEAK
Father, we praise You, for You alone are our salvation. We open Your Word today with expectation. We come with hearts ready to receive Your wisdom, Your guidance, and Your peace. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.

STEP 2 • TEXT
Turn my eyes from looking at worthless things; and give me life in your ways. (Psalm 119:37, ESV)

STEP 3 • OBSERVE
Today let's observe cross-references for our challenge verse.

Cross-references are related scripture verses from other locations in the Bible, and can be found in a study Bible or online resources such as BlueLetterBible.org or BibleHub.com. As you read the cross-reference verses, note the commonality relating each to Psalm 119:37.
Click the link below to find cross-references for Psalm 119:37.

QUESTIONS:
1. Which of the above cross-references stand out to you in it's relation to Psalm 119:37 and why?
2. How does considering these related scriptures deepen your understanding of Psalm 119:37?
3. What does Psalm 119:37 teach you about renewing your mind and heart?

STEP 4 • REMEMBER
What is one takeaway from your meditation on Psalm 119:37 today?

STEP 5 •YOUR TURN
1. Add to your "Re-Focus List" in your challenge journal by writing another way you can redirect your attention back to Jesus when you are tempted to focus on "worthless things."
2. Take some time to prayerfully meditate on Psalm 119:37 and journal your thoughts.

See you tomorrow!
